The ALVF: "Putting women at the centre of the questionning"
Founded under the initiative of 7 Cameroonian feminist women conscious of the recrudescence of violence against women in our environment, of the lack of punishments against the opressors, of the accompliceship of society, of the lack of power of the victims, the ALVF is a feminist association non mixt, non partisan, non-profit organisation, created ion November 1991.
Definition: An association of fight against all forms of violence without exclusivity of nature or place: violences (physical, sexual, moral, private, public) that women and young girls living in Cameroon experience; A lobby for equality; A side taken for women against the violences that are done to women. a philosophy of life. Our Policy is to put the woman at the centre of the questionning. Our mission is to eliminate all forms of violence that women and girls are the victims opf in all spaces. Our philosophy: The ALVF affirms that all act that we pose in our lives, wherher it is is private or inpublic, is a political act. The ALVF looks to promote "the other parole, the other power" for a harmonious society. Our goals:
- To fight the interiorisation of patriarcal values that perpetuate violence against women
- To promote an equitable social statue
- To promote positive human values that take into accont the difference between both sexes
- To participate in the instauration of a non-violent society
